Goshen High School Named US News and World Report “Best High School”

Goshen High School Students Achieve!

What makes a great school?  We know the answer---great students, great families, great teachers, and great staff.  We have great people in our district so we have grown to expect that our students will soar!  Goshen High School has recently been recognized for the excellent work of their students and staff with the support of our families!  GHS was named a US News and World Report "Best High School" in their ranking of the nation’s high schools.

Superintendent Darrell Edwards stated, “We take pride in every student graduating from our schools ready for college or a career.  Goshen High School students have a strong record of achieving at very high levels.  This is due to the teamwork between students, staff, and families.   Every student has opportunities available to them whether it be extra academic support in areas they are struggling in, college classes on campus, Advanced Placement programs, industry credential opportunities, or more.  Our staff works very hard to deliver the best instruction every day in a supportive school environment.  Our students and staff are the very best!”

GHS was ranked 106th in the state out of 874 high schools ahead of 768 Ohio schools.  This places them in the top 12% of schools!

Rankings are based on state required tests, graduation rate, college readiness, underserved students’ performance compared to national expectations, state assessment proficiency, college curriculum opportunities,  and being prepared for high school.

Principal Stephanie Walker stated, “It is great to see our students and staff recognized for the work that they do every day in our classrooms.  We have such great programs and wonderful opportunities that students walk out of here prepared and ready to take on the world!  Prepping our students for a four year college or a career  is our goal!”
