Home - Ms. Whitley
My name is Brooke Whitley and this is my eighth year as an Intervention Specialist. I love teaching at GMS! I graduated from Goshen High School in 2009 and then graduated from Northern Kentucky University in 2013 with my bachelor's degree in elementary and special education. In February 2020, I graduated with my Master of Arts in Reading from Grand Canyon University. I am certified to work with students who have mild to moderate disabilities from K-12.
At Goshen Middle School, I provide intervention services to students in grades 6-8. This year, I provide support in the ELA classrooms of Mrs. Perfetta (6th grade), Ms. Velagic (7th grade), and Mrs. Rybak (8th grade). I also provide ELA interventions for designated students in these classes. I am so grateful to be at GMS and love working with kids everyday! I am passionate about the overall well being of every child and hope to make a positive impact on each precious life I encounter.
In the spring, I coach 7th and 8th grade track and field with Coach Ohnmeis, Strauss, and Walsh. I work primarily with sprinters, high jumpers, and hurdlers. We have so much fun together and value helping each student develop their athletic ability. Sports help students build character and become more well-rounded individuals in the future.
