GMS students in Mr. Dietrich's class got to participate in Revolutionary War speed dating!

Did you know Goshen Middle School students and staff run their very own "Little Food Pantry" right in the front entryway? Designed specifically with quick, kid-friendly microwavable meals in mind, it empowers our students to easily prepare a warm bite to eat for themselves if they ever need it to take home. The small pantry is open 24/7 to anyone in our community—so whether you need you need to grab something, or wish to drop off a donation, it’s always here for you!

Let's hear it for our 7th & 8th grade middle school cheerleaders! The squad has been working extremely hard since June to get ready for the fall season! They have been putting together amazing stunts, cheers, and dances to showcase at this year's football games and competitions! We sure do appreciate the school spirit and hope they have an amazing season!

Goshen Middle School teacher Missy Mirus was recently awarded a $5,000 GMS Building-Wide Sensory Grant, making it possible to provide our students with an incredible variety of flexible learning resources, including a Gaga Ball Pit, sensory swings, spinning chairs, an exercise bike, weighted blankets, noise-canceling headphones, large gaming and sensory stations, flexible seating and so much more. We are deeply appreciative of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation and the profound impact this grant has made throughout our building. Thank you for investing in our students and helping create a more inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment for all!

GMS students in Mrs. DeNu's Digital Media classes have been practicing the key composition principles in photography. It was a great first day back at Goshen Middle School! The teachers were dressed their best and happily ready to welcome all of the students in! It was such a fun day overall!

The state of Ohio has scaled back its annual back-to-school sales tax holiday this year. The holiday runs from midnight Friday, Aug. 7 through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9.

Unlike the extended expanded-item tax-free holidays in 2024 and 2025 (which covered items up to $500), the 2026 holiday has reverted to its traditional three-day format and strictly covers specific back-to-school items.

This year, no state or local sales tax will be charged on clothing priced at $75 or less, school supples at $20 or less and school instructional materials at $20 or less per item.

We're proud to once again host our community's National Night Out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4 behind Marr/Cook Elementary. National Night Out is an opportunity for the citizens, businesses, clubs, organizations, police and fire to get together for a night of fun, community building, crime prevention and fire safety. We hope to see you there!

Goshen Middle School would like to express their gratitude to the Lebanon Eagles for their recent donation of $1,000. This donation was given to go towards the GMS Kindness Project and the GMS Outdoor Sensory Wellness Area. We are exceptionally grateful for their kindness and cannot wait to see the positive impact this makes on the lives of countless individuals. Thank you Lebanon Eagles!

GMS 8th graders took on the zoo today! The new(ish) Elephant exhibit was beautiful and we all had to much fun!

Sixth grade teacher, Mrs. McKeever, created the "Warrior Pen Pal Club" this year. She partnered with Mrs. Tunison’s third grade class and they all became pen pals! They’ve been writing to each other all year and today some of them got to meet!!

Last week, some of our GMS students attended the High Aims Student Leadership Conference at Indian Hill Middle School. They did a great job showing how Goshen Warriors are growth mindset focused, motivated and socially responsible.

Teachers Mrs. DeNu and Mrs. Mirus challenged these 11 students to look for ways to make a positive impact in our community, and the results blew us away.
