Another successful "Mini Warriors Mentoring" day with the GMS and Marr/Cook P.E. students! It was a joy to see the smiles on the younger students faces when their middle school buddies showed up to play games with them! This will be something to look forward to every Friday!

GMS students had a blast today at the Luau dance! It was such a great way to end the week and kick off Spring Break! A special thanks to Mrs. Velagic for organizing and hosting the event! We appreciate you!

The Goshen Middle School Leo Club had a very eggciting time hosting Mrs. Burns’s full day preschool class for the Bunny Tails and Treats event today. The preschool students enjoyed an egg hunt, games and various activities. Precious memories were made and a fun time was had by all. ❤️
Shoutout to Mrs. Mirus and Mrs. Dorazio for starting the Leo Club at GMS. They have put their heart and souls into demonstrating what it looks like to serve their community- and spread kindness to others. They have modeled and students in this club have been quick to follow their lead and volunteer their time! Way to warrior up!

The GMS drama club presented their play, “It’s a Mad House,” over the past weekend. What an amazing show! These kids worked so hard preparing over the past few months and it certainly showed over their 2 night performance! Thank you to all of the parent volunteers for your help and support throughout!
A special thank you to Mrs. Lisa Edwards. Your dedication to this program year after year gives these kids a place to belong, to grow, and to be their wonderfully "mad" selves. We are so lucky to have you! 🎭💐

From GMS Coach Walsh: "Jasper Anderson went 2-2 this weekend. He wrestled really well at the highest level of competition for junior high kids in the state. I’m very proud of him for the weekend and season he put together!" Congratulations on a spectacular season Jasper! Way to represent Goshen! #warriorup

This morning National Junior Honor Society members participated in the annual Free Throws for Kids charity event. Students fundraised for care packages and healthy food options for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Cincinnati. On the day of the event, teams shoot 500 free throws. NJHS fielded two enthusiastic teams and dedicated their time for a worthy cause.

Today friends, family, and mentors of Jasper Anderson lined the halls of GMS to give him a proper “send off” parade as he left to attend the Ohio Wrestling State Championship! 🤼
Jasper is a 132 lb Southwest district champion, 2X OAC State qualifier, 2X SBAAC league Champion w/ a 38-2 record and 70 JH WINS. Jasper has worked incredibly hard through the duration of his middle school wrestling career and we are so proud to have him represent Goshen Middle School! Good luck at STATE!!!! 🎉💪🏻

GMS teachers, Mrs. Wood and Mr. Gregory teamed up with Marr-Cook teacher, Mr. Tissot, to start the "Mini Warrior Mentor Program". The program started today and allowed the middle school PE students to work with the Marr-Cook students. Friendships were definitely formed and fun was had by all! This will take place every Friday!

Who says the 4th quarter has to be a grind? The GMS staff decided to give the school a little royal treatment today! 👑🏰
Our secret spirit day theme was "The Royals," and we made sure every staff member was properly crowned (special thanks to Burger King for the "sponsorship"). While most of us rocked the cardboard chic, a few overachievers definitely went above and beyond the call of duty with their regal attire. It’s amazing what a little plastic headwear and a lot of school spirit can do to keep morale—and the students' curiosity—at an all-time high! 🍔✨

GMS 8th grade students attended the JA "Inspire to Hire" field trip today at Northern Kentucky University. This interactive career exploration expo gives students the opportunity to connect with local businesses, discover different career pathways, and get inspired about their future!

GMS 6th grade Career Tech students learned about the engineering design process by collaborating in teams, and using Kinnex to be the first team to build a rocket. We definitely have some stand out engineers in this group!

GMS 7th grade Art students in Mrs. Mink's class, are making landscape postcards using a dry felting process. What a cool idea!

There is always something cool going on at GMS! Here is a collection of fun from the past week!

In science class today, GMS students were given 100 index cards and challenged to build the tallest free standing structure. They were given no other supplies or allowed to alter the cards.

GMS clubs have been underway all year and students are having a great time!
Here are some photos of the Leo Club- decorating and working together to prepare for an upcoming event this spring! Also, the "doodling" club with their creations! What an awesome outlet for students!

Huge shoutout to the students who represented Goshen today at the Business Advisory Council meeting!
From networking over breakfast with local pros to leading impressive breakout presentations on their career programs, these students blew us away. The future is looking very bright at Goshen Local Schools! 👏
