Students who participated in the recent library scavenger hunt got their shot at the party of the year when they were entered into a lottery drawing to attend the bash! Peer mentoring groups started at GMS today! Peer mentoring groups are designed to bring students together in a supportive environment, where positive relationships can grow. These groups create important, social bonds between children with special needs and their peers helping foster understanding, inclusion and friendship. The focus of peer mentoring is on developing a growth mindset, building, motivation, and strengthening social responsibility. Groups meet regularly during the week providing consistent opportunities for connection and growth. During each session, students participate in team-building activities, games and guided social interactions. These experiences not only encourage collaboration and problem-solving but also help students practice essential social skills in a fun, engaging way. Ultimately, peer mentoring groups promote acceptance, empathy, and a stronger school community.

Homecoming at GMS! We started the morning with "campus clean up" to get our stadium looking good for tonight's festivities! Then, students experienced everyone's favorite tradition- the homecoming pep rally followed by "house battle games!" It was a fantastic Friday!
