A glimpse into the daily life of a Goshen Middle School student...

GMS Students in Mrs. Mirus’s class enjoyed putting some life skills to practice by doing laundry and making brownies. Way to Warrior Up!

Did you notice the campus looking especially pristine on Friday? GMS students participated in their annual "Campus Clean-Up" service learning project led by Ms. Brooke Whitley. Students helped out our maintenance department by picking up any and all trash around the stadium and surrounding areas! Way to go!

What a morning! GMS had campus clean-up, a pep rally with the high school, and an epic "pie in the face" for our fundraiser winner! Tucker Shaub chose to pie his mom- Amanda (who works at GMS) and also Mr. Downey! They teamed up and got Tucker back with his own pie in the face!

More pictures from GMS students in Mr. Emerine's class who took a field trip to the Air Force Museum today!

GMS students in Mr. Emerine's class traveled to the National Museum of the US Air Force today in Dayton! What an amazing experience!

Mrs. Vogt’s and Mr. Bohl’s classes (GMS) are wrapping up their economics unit. As part of this unit, they completed the Sneakerhead Competition. Students designed and created a poster for their shoe. There were a lot of great shoes! Winners were voted on in each class by the students. Winners are: 1st block- Sam Butsch, 2nd block- Kelsey Peters, 3rd block- Liam Wohlfrom.

Yesterday at GMS, Ms. Edwards’ and Mrs. Mowry‘s ELA classes enjoyed a hot chocolate book buffet. The room overflowed with coziness as they perused different books using suspense to convince the reader to flip the page and see what happens next. While reviewing books, they enjoyed hot chocolate and snacks. Thanks to all of the parents who donated so generously.

Today at GMS, Mrs. McKeever's 6th grade math students made a human number line while learning about rational numbers!

GMS 7th & 8th grade cheerleaders are recognizing breast cancer awareness for the month of October.

A day in the life of a Goshen Middle School student...

GMS students in Mr. Emerine's classes have been busy! This week students tested out the robot cars and water rockets they have been working on!

Despite the postponed parade, the GMS pep rally went on! Students showed their school spirit on high level! Fall athletes were recognized, the fundraiser prize winners were announced, and house games were played!

GMS students are having a blast with spirit week! I think the teachers are digging it as well!

Sixth grade students, in Mrs. Denu‘s Career Tech class learned all about geology throughout the week! It started with a study of how fossils were formed and a trip to the Obannon Creek to search for existing fossils and rock formations. It ended with a virtual guest speaker Geologist, Wendy Dunne, who shared about one of her amazing discoveries of a deep buried glacial valley within the bedrock of their tunnel project. Her discovery prevented any catastrophic injuries to the tunnel workers and also led to revision of the current geologic quadrangle map!

GMS really spotted some wacky dressed people on this fine Wednesday!

GMS students have been having a blast participating in spirit week! So far we have done pajama day and beach day!

We are so incredibly thankful for the additional sensory tiles for our social communications unit at GMS. These were provided through a grant from our AMAZING Goshen PTO! Thank you for always supporting our staff, students and community in all that you do. There have been so many smiles today because of our new addition of sensory tiles to our room! Go Warriors!

Today at GMS, students in Mrs. Fine's class participated in a “Big Brother” competition called “OTEV” This game show competition is like musical chairs meets trivia. They played it as a fun way to review their current novel!
