GMS Career Tech students would like to thank guest speaker, Jessica Bogie for taking the time to speak with students about law and becoming an attorney. We enjoyed her stories and recognize the hard work that goes into being a lawyer.Thank you for inspiring our students Jessica!





GMS Career Tech students got to visit the University of Cincinnati campus to participate in their career day and watch a UC Women's Basketball game! The Bearcats took home the win! Visiting local college campuses can help spark curiosity for young minds!










GMS Career Tech students would like to thank Survey/Civil Engineer and former Dean of Engineering, Paul A. DeNu, for speaking to students today. Mr. DeNu demonstrated to students how GPS technology systems work and answered questions about the profession of Surveying. Great day!






GMS Career Tech students would like to thank State Highway Patrol Trooper, Alex Price, for coming to speak to students about his career. Students were able to ask questions and learn about his experience in the police academy.





Students in Mrs. Vogt’s and Mr. Bohl’s classes have been working on rocks and the rock cycle. Today, students completed The Rock Cycle Lab utilizing different types of chocolate chips. They were able to cycle a “rock” all the way through working collaboratively with a partner.










Students in Mrs. Adkins & Mrs. Turpin's classroom recently channeled their "To Kill a Mockingbird" main characters and put on a ham parade! The parade visited many different classrooms in the school and students voted on who had the best ham costume.










Mrs. Clark and her cooking class got to work this afternoon at GMS. They are prepping for making an Oreo Dump Cake with the new oven in Mrs. Mirus's room. They have discussed their budget, ingredients and created a grocery list. Great job, Warriors!










GMS students in Mrs. Velagic's class visited the creek as part of their rock exploration unit. They turned their rocks into pet rocks after journaling about their experience.





GMS teachers love a good excuse to wear costumes! We have Barbie, Scooby Doo, and Jurassic Park Experts! Meg joined in too! Happy Halloween!




GMS art students, guided by Mrs. Mink, participated in the "Paint the Plow" program with ODOT. Students decided to use facility dog, Meg, as the theme for one plow. Special shout out to Frey Moore for designing a cabin inspired plow for the 2nd design. Great job students!

GMS students had an absolute blast today at the Monster Mash! The costumes were top notch and they danced the afternoon away! They should sleep well tonight!










It was one heck of a Swiftie Celebration today at GMS! Not only did her 1989 album release today- but every student here read 6 books from 6 different genres and created a video summary of each book on Flipgrid! Mrs. Slagle, Ms. Carrie, and Miss Tomie- you outdid yourselves!










Peer mentoring groups started at GMS this morning. Our kids enjoyed having the opportunity to socialize and make new friends!








It was a new start to the quarter at GMS- which means new Encore classes for all! Today in career tech, students used their collaboration skills to try and write a word on a paper using strings to control a marker. Teamwork!







GMS students participated in "Clubs For All" this morning. The clubs meet once per month to encourage inclusion with students that have the same interests. Clubs range from Basketball and Football all the way to Taylor Swift, Knitting and Crafting.




GMS would like to thank 2-time Super Bowl Champion, Lee Rouson, for coming to speak to our students this week! Mr. Rouson told us his story of perseverance and resiliency that led him to his dream of the NFL! We thank you sir! #sportsworldinc










GMS Career Tech Students practiced working on their “Service Seal” by creating bandannas for Circle Tail. They continued Mrs. Wilson's legacy project that she started many years ago! So it's only fitting that she come back to train Mrs. DeNu! It was such a fun project!
