Students at GMS enjoyed taking a hike and exploring in the creek today.

After a long hard year and a couple of testing days, Mrs. Shelanskey's GMS Science class reviewed their matter unit by making slime. Slime is a mixture and is a non-newtonian fluid-meaning it is neither a liquid or a solid but has properties of both! Look at those smiles! What a fun lab!

Our GMS 6th grade Science classes participated in an Energy, Speed, and Motion lab! They created paper roller coasters!

The GMS Student Council has sponsored a "countdown to summer" for the students to participate in. So far, the kids have been having a blast with it! See the last pic for the list!

Mark your calendars for May 2 and attend Goshen's Fine Arts Night! We will have the art expo from 5:00-7:00 and then the Spring Band concert right after at 7:00pm.
See the flyer for details!

GMS students and staff had a BLAST learning about the jobs of our incredible School Resource Officers, Officer Groves and Officer Alcorn. They were so kind to answer a multitude of questions and allow our kids to see inside their police gator and cruiser!

The GMS Career Tech class would like to thank, Ron Healey, for being our guest speaker today! Mr. Healey works for the Kroger company and he spoke about being a Solutions Analyst. The students learned about the coding, information technology, and logistics that are involved in this problem-solving occupation. Thank you for volunteering your time and pouring into our young minds!!

Mrs. Velagic's class made density towers yesterday at GMS! What a cool experiment!

Kudos to the students who completed the recent GMS library challenge! They worked diligently to earn their reward, a listening party for the new Taylor Swift album. Also, special thanks to our librarian, Emily Slagle, who constantly finds creative ways to engage our students with her innovative ideas and execution. We're lucky to have such a dedicated librarian!

GMS students in Mrs. Vogt’s and Mr. Bohl’s science classes joined together to learn about mass, volume and density. Students worked collaboratively through stations, did a lab and even learned a song!

Mrs. DeNu’s Career Tech class would like to thank the Goshen Education Foundation for awarding the grant that funded our latest project. Students used the engineering design process to create a hydraulic claw. Students were challenged to choose a design, build it, use water hydraulics to create movement, and then refine it until they could successfully pick something up.
We can’t thank the GEF enough for providing this learning experience for our students!

GMS students had a testing kick off assembly this week. Principal Flynn delivered an inspiring message to students about motivation and hard work. She also revealed where the reward field trips would be this year! We concluded the assembly with a very competitive game of basketball musical chairs! The students had a blast!

The GMS Career Tech class would like to thank Dr. Jeff Bauer, Dean of UC Clermont College, for being our guest speaker today. As a professor of management and marketing for numerous years, Dr. Bauer was able to share his experience and expertise on logo design to help students with their upcoming logo design projects.
Thank you for pouring your time into our young minds here at Goshen. We appreciate you Dr. Bauer! #UC #clermontcollege

GMS Library celebrated the eclipse today with a movie! Students earned a seat at the movie by creating a Spotify playlist to represent 10 of their favorite books!

Ms. Whitley had a themed auction during tribe today at GMS. Students were able to use their class cash called "Buckeye Bucks" to bid and pay for items!

GMS 6th grade students had their Luau today and they danced the afternoon away! We would like to thank our wonderful PTO for all of their help setting up and chaperoning the dance! We would also like to thank Dotty of Kona Ice for coming to our school today and serving over 400 students!

Mrs. Mirus's students had so much fun cooking in the kitchen at GMS on Friday! Life skills are so important (and fun!)

GMS content creator students were asked to help with a community project. 7th grade students Sophia Scherzinger and Audrey Spence volunteered to help film and edit an informational advertisement video for the organization, Goshen Community Cares.
They did a phenomenal job- check out the YouTube video of their work! This information might even be helpful to someone in the community!
